Managing your Writing time

Probably the most heard rant from my colleagues and friends is that “oh i need to write that paper/thesis! – wish i just had some more time” If you can identify yourselves with the above statement then this pointer from Academic Productivity can really help.Right now i am finding less time to make posts here!! wish i could learn something that would help me keep Efficient Academic updated frequently ;-) .

There is an interesting read in The Scientist which shows how social networks can help researchers and why it is a great asset in especially the research and academic community.There has been some development of the social networking aspect in academia – case in point would the Collaborative Bookmarking/research publication sites, however there is still a long way to go.

Blogs are one of the latest tools that scientists use to communicate their ideas to other
scientists or to the general public. But who are the science bloggers and why do they blog?

This paper which came out in the May issue of Cell is definitely worth a read. It gives a overall view of the scientific blogging community and what it holds for the future.
